Rules of the LUSH LEAGUE . . . Ummmm, let's see here . . . |
|
|
- 2007
Summer Tourney = Brunch

location
of Brunch varies ... watch yer e-mail.
- This
is a "doubles tournament" where you'll bowl against
other teams
and earn points for each game won.
- Bowling
Costs will be $10 per Sunday not including shoe rental .
. .
We'll just do one envelope for everyone.
- Play
lots of Rock-N-Freakin-Roll so we don't have to suffer through
any Steely "good god I think I'm gunna hurl" Dan.
- Help
out by keeping score once in a while ... it's only fair
- Harrassment
will be tolerated only if it is funny . . . which
is
most of the time ... just don't be a douche-bag.

Averages & Handicaps |
|
|
|
- Establish an Average -
Current
members will carry over last years average & new lushleaguers need
to bowl 6 games prior to league start to establish their average. Keep
all score sheets from these "average establishing games" & give
them to Darrick.
- Handicap Percentage -
Subtract your average from 200 & multiply by 80% = your handicap.
- Add all Individual Handicaps to get Team Handicap.
- Team Handicaps are added to final scores.
- Note - individual handicaps will not exceed 96.
|
|
|
|
Bowler No-Show |
|
|
|
- Substitutes -
We'll
have a posted sub-list soon, but we generally have extra people
comin out just to hang & bowl, so if they don't have an established
average, their handicap will be calculated after the match & then
the team's handicap will be adjusted accordingly.
- Vacant Bowler -
If
there is no sub, you take the missing Bowler's average & subtract
10 points - and that is what the "vacant bowler" gets each game. This
bowler's "Lushleague Average" will not be affected by the 10 pt.
deduction on each game.
- a "Blind Team" (if applicable) -
What
does it mean to play a "Blind" team? It goes a lil somethin like this
... each bowler must come within 7 points of his or her average,
without team handicap to "beat the blind team". So let's say each
bowler on a team has an average of 100 ... the team average is 400 ...
the team's score without handicap for each game must be 372 or higher
to win that game.

League Scoring/Team Rank |
|
|
|
- We'll
be bowling a total of 11 nights spread out over 20 er so weeks. The
team with the most points at season's end is the first place team.
- Winning a Game -
Each
individual's score is added together for the team & then you add
the team's handicap to that. When you win a game you earn points.
- Points: A team can win up to 7 pts. per night -
Each
night we'll bowl 3 games - this constitutes a "match". A team
earns 2 pts. for each game won in a match & the team who knocks
down the most pins overall in a match earns a bonus point - this is
called taking series.
So, for example . . . Let's say team "A"
wins the first two games against team "B" . . . but team "B"
wins game three by a huge spread so they get the two points for winning
that game & they get the bonus point for knocking down the most
pins.
- - - game reults ... 120 to 115 | 130
to 110 | 100 to
185 - - - total pins (series) . . . 350 to
410
So . . . team "A" gets 4 points
& team "B" gets 3 points
- What about a Tie -
If
there is a tie in a game or for series, the teams split the point(s).
If Team rank scores are tied, the team with the higher amount of pins
knocked down (including handicap) takes the higher rank. If
there's still a tie, then the teams Scratch (actual pins - no handicap)
amount of pins will be the determining factor.
